Ok, since individual posts can't be moved, I get to copy and paste it all in here, so bare with me. and because of Trevor's request, I'm going to be removing any signs of screen names from the posts, because they aren't necessary. Oh, and one more thing, don't go LOOKING for these posts, because once this post goes up, they're all coming down.
-"And Sorry XXXXX, its where we grouped you.
You don't PICK your group.
kinda like u cn pick ur nose, u cn pick ur friends,
But u CANNOT pick ur friends nose."
-"Who died and made you supreme dicator? If he doesn't like being called an "It" and wants you to stop, instead of saying "Tough, youre whatever the f*ck I want you to be" you stop. kay? ;D "
-"I have to ask, XXXX - is it someone's time of the month?
EDIT:
There ya go, XXXXXX. This is our welcome to newbies. All out nuclear warfare."
-"XDD XXXX, I love you!!!!
and XXXXXX, she has a point, this is our welcome, if ur not scared away by THIS then you'll survive this board yet."
-"hahahah, the girl thinks she's a comedian, hahah..... [image]
All I'm saying is that if XXXXX doesn't wanna be called an "it" then don't call him an "it", don't tell him he doesn't have a choice on the matter. Thats rude.
Oh, by the way. Hi XXXXXX."
-"Vocab lesson. Today we're going to learn a new word. It's four letters long, but it's got a lot of letters we don't usually use like "j" and "k". The word is "joke". Repeat after me. "Joke". It means to kid, or to fool around - it is used when discussing non-serious matters, and a "joke" should never be taken seriously.
Seriously, XXXX - JUST. JOKING. JOKING, XXXX, JOKING"
-"Oh......great, now I feel like a hypocrite. Thanks a lot XXXXX
Oh, don't forget to use that vocab word of yours when reading this post!"
And that's where I stepped in.
Now, before I say anything, a word from "God" AKA Noka.
Here's a great example of what not to do when you disagree with somebody. Don't start whining about it right on the thread unless you're going to be mature about it, unlike what we see here. If you really feel the need to have a full out conversation about it or if you feel the need to be a bit snippy, either message the individual or one of the staff members and we'll help you sort everything out. And especially don't do this in new member threads. Happy thoughts only.
Now, Noka's absolutely right. And if this happened anywhere else on the board, it wouldn't have been as much of an issue, but because it was in a new member thread, it just blew things up much more, much faster.
This doesn't mean that we don't encourage free speech, because we do, just not like this. We encourage it in a decent, kind way. And I do know most of the people on this board, since this is a friend based site, and I know you are all capable of speaking decently to each other. All we ask is that if a conflict arises, alert a staff member. We can stop the dispute by either helping the ones involved get over their issues, or by deleting the thread.
I know for a fact the neither Noka nor I want to be doing this, we don't want to have to deal with these problems, because we don't want their to be any disputes in the first place. But the problem isn't going to stop if we don't address it. So we're nipping it in the rear now, before it spirals out of control.
So please please please, if you have an issue with something someone said, or did, come to the staff first, don't take it into your own hands if you can't handle yourself with maturity and dignity. And if you can't come to us or act civilized, step away. don't log in for a few days, take a break. wait until you are all mellowed out and not thirsting for blood, and come back. Look at the issue with a cleared head and then, look at it from both sides, and try to think about it from another point of view. Then, in a calm controlled way, try to reply with an open mind. If that still doesn't help, just stop posting in that area, just let the matter die, and never dig it up again.
But if you can, come to the staff, we really can help.
