Ok, well, because I a$$ume that most of you will be role playing on this forum, I might as well post a few well known and widely used rp rules. They help make everything a bit more fair to all the role players.
No powerplaying Powerplaying is when you control another person's character. For obvious reasons, that's extremely unfair and aggravating. I'm aware of the fact that it can be hard to avoid powerplaying in some situations like fights. In cases like this, you can always make a move and make sure that you stop your post to allow the other person to make a move as well. For example, instead of saying that your character ran at their enemy and slashed their face with a dagger (obviously this situation gives your enemy no time to react), you can leave it a bit open-ended like this: "Xylia advanced swiftly towards her target, gripping the glinting dagger tightly. As she neared her foe, she swung the dagger in a graceful arc, aiming for her opponents face."
No godmoding Godmoding is when you role play with an invincible character. Again, it's fairly obvious as to why doing something like this isn't fair.
No Mary Sues or Gary Stus A Mary Sue or a Gary Stu is a perfect character. For example, a character that is so beautiful or handsome, that nobody could even fathom disobeying them. This sort of intersects with the idea of godmoding.
Fights are allowed, however, please be fair It's not fair to dodge every attack and land every hit in a fight. Be realistic guys. Imagine that your character is actually in a fight, they're going to sustain some damage, so don't be afraid to allow your character to get hurt!
Be literate This rule was stated in the general rules for the forum, and in role playing, it's even more important. d0nt +yP3 le!k +hiz!!1!one!!one!eleven!!!11
All the rules stated under "General rules" apply for every board on this forum, including role playing Does this one even need an explanation?
Most importantly, have fun That's why this forum was created after all!
I may add rules to this in the future. If you have any suggestions, just post them!
