Anjok let his eyes trace Raychel's graceful movements. He let his gaze fall on the soft curve of her hips, and wanted nothing more than to hold her close to him and let her wonderful scent fill his senses. He tore his eyes away from her and turned back to the crowd of people around him; thinking about it too much made his heart ache in a terrible fashion. At that point, he became aware of the fact that he was tearing up. Luckily, his mask partially hid it, and he quickly slipped his hand into it and wiped his eyes. He turned back and watched Raychel as she set up for their act.

Raychel set everything up, she gathered the rope that she needed and walked back over to anjok and the others. "Could you tie me up, my stone warrior?" she asked, handing him the rope.
oh how she wished. she wished that they could get out of here so she and anjok could finally have a realationship in the light. So she could feel his arms wrap around her when she needed it, and even when she didnt. Raychel could feel her heart tear; she knew that it might never happen. Oh how she wished she was wrong.

"Anything for you my flame princess," he grinned. Leading her over to the center post, he gently pulled her hands up above her head and tied them to the post with a loose knot. He leaned over her shoulder, seemingly checking to make sure that everything was in the right place, and discretely tipped his mask up and kissed her on the neck. He had in fact taken a risk just in doing so, but he was careful and used his mask and his broad shoulders to hide his actions from the guards. Luckily for both of them, they hadn't noticed a single thing. Straightening up and slinging the blade of his sword over his shoulder, he shot her a little smirk and asked, "So shall we begin? Bring on the dragon." He stepped back a bit to allow Leo and Bernard to play their part. Bernard slipped on his armor quickly and placed the helmet on his head, adjusting it to make sure it was on correctly. He lifted the sword with both hands, blade pointing outward from his waist, and spread his feet apart. "Why does this sword have to be so heavy?" he panted, "They couldn't have given me a plastic sword, could they...."

Leo rolled his eyes dramatically. "Oh please, get over yourself," he joked. He shook his head and went over to the side where the flimsy metal outfits, practically a bendable tin, were sitting in the corner for Leo and Bernard to put on. Leo half-pulled his on - just the mask, as he wasn't particularly interested in wasting time getting the rest on, since he was just a bit part in this act.
He sighed and waited for Ray to begin her part. He didn't go for the sword yet, and would wait until the last second to grab it. He was weaker than his brother, and would only make a fool of himself after his comment. The others were waiting patiently on the side for the practice to begin.
Belle was silently going over her own act in her head; she had an act alone, which she liked since it meant she could practice anytime and had more opportunity to get it right than just the practice time in this tent, and therefore was less likely to be punished for doing something wrong. She shut her eyes and went over the moves in her head, picturing the brilliant, epileptic-seizure-causing colors in her mind as the others prepared for the act she'd seen well over ten dozen times in her life.

Raychel shuttered, and had to supress a soft moan. This man had no idea what he did to her, just his smile was enough to make her breath ragid and her heart rate speed up, bu when he kisses her she just melted. And to feel his soft lips on her neck, she could hardly stand it. But she couldnt let it affect her performance, she had to do this right or else the guards would get suspicious.
Raychel focused of forming a dragon above their heads, first it was only a small flame, but it quickly grew and took shape of a ferocious dragon. It roared and shot a stream of fire in between raychel and bernard. She screamed in terror. The dragon flew at Bernard, enraged that the mortal dared challange him.

Bernard jumped at the sight of the fiery beast charging towards him. For a moment, he had almost forgotten that the entire thing was an act. He blushed furiously, glad that his helmet covered the signs of his embarra$$ment. At least he didn't have to do anything spectacular. His entire role in the act was to make an a$$ of himself, something he found he could do with extreme ease. He ran at the dragon, swinging the heavy sword like a drunk man. The weight of the sword threw him off balance, and he allowed himself to spin on his right heel, turning in a complete circle before he stumbled to the side, dragging the tip of the sword along the floor. Anjok chuckled as he watched Bernard perform. Half of his role was acting, while the other half was most likely Bernard's lack of grace. He seemed to be a bit aloof when he wasn't in animal form. After a couple of minutes more, Bernard decided it was time to play dead. He ran at the dragon, and brought the sword down as it neared him, allowing the tip to dig into the floor and fling him a couple feet. He landed square on his back, unharmed, seemingly thrown by the dragon. He shut his eyes and lied there, quieting his breathing, so as to appear dead. Anjok glanced at Leo; it was his turn to face the dragon.

Leo braced himself to make a fool of himself, which he did even outside the circus ring, and grasped the heavy sword tightly in his hand. He swung it up before him, already feeling the strain of it.
Ignoring the fact that he was pretty much going to topple over, he staggered toward the dragon, fighting to keep himself standing at least for a minute or so. The dragon swirled around, and Leo swung the sword around and around, randomly cutting through flames at points. After a good forty seconds, he'd stepped backward on a rock and slipped, knocking the wind out of himself, the sword falling clumsily next to him. He imagined that Ray could cover that up, make it look like he'd fallen. It was basically her job to make any one of Bernard's or Leo's mistakes look intentional.
He laid quietly on the ground, waiting for Anjok to just get this act over and done with. Vaguely, he wondered who looked stupider - Bernard or Leo. He liked to think it was Bernard.

Anjok dismounted the sword from his shoulder, grasping the hilt of his sword tightly, but not enough to break it. He crouched slightly, feeling the muscles in his legs rub against the cold metal plates on his armor, and the rough leather. He charged at the dragon, yelling with all his might and fury, seeing the dragon as a limb of the circus, another way to keep them confined. Viewing the dragon like this always allowed him to get out his aggression so he would be less inclined to do something stupid and get himself in trouble. While he was usually a peaceful person, he did have issues with anger problems sometimes, and that was the last thing anyone needed in this hell hole. He raced elegantly at the dragon, swinging his sword easily, connecting with the fiery ma$$ of the dragon and sending sparks flying everywhere. He danced around the beast, showing off the mastery that came from hours of practice with his sword. He allowed himself to seem injured near the end, falling to one knee and clutching at his stomach. The dragon charged him, and the moment that the princess shrieked, he pulled himself up to his feet and thrust his sword straight into the dragon's mouth. The beast died out, flickering and popping, making a sound like thousands of animals being slaughtered at once. Anjok dropped his sword and strode quickly over to his princess, untying the knot he had placed around her wrist only moments before. Bending down, he hooked one arm under her feet and one behind her back and held her bridal style. To him, she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and here he could finally show her how he felt without having to hide it. He pulled her close and pulled up the bottom of his mask, kissing her pa$$ionately as the flames on the post behind them flickered and died.

Raychel kissed the man holding her pa$$ionatly, she let all of her love for him flow into that one kiss, after all, they never knew when their last one would be. After a few seconds the lovers reluctantly pulled apart, their act was over.
The onlookers eruppted into appause, evena few guards were clapping. zanjok gentally lowered her to the grownd and raychel stood up, almost falling over. Her legs felt like jello and that dragon always took a lot out of her. She pushed her fatigue aside, and walked over to everyone else.
"Does anyone else need to go? if not, lets take a 10 minute break before we have to go on." Raychel turned again to Anjok and they boys. She beamed. "Nice work out there guys, that was fantastic."

Leo began to sit up, and grumbled something unintelligible, possibly a thanks, possibly a snide comment. He pulled the mask off and shook his fairly long hair out, as it had been sticking to his head in there. "Anjok, you take these swords. I'm not gonna move them an inch," he said, and brought himself to his feet. He walked over to the side and dropped the mask there. It'd have to be carried out to the back of the tent later, but for now, he would just leave it here before they went out. He didn't feel like running his part over with Bernard - they were ready. They were always ready. And besides, their act involved Ray, who was not looking up for it right now, just another excuse to get out of a practice.
Belle didn't need a break. She decided to take herself into a corner and practice her side acts and her one big fireworks display. She usually was just a decorative background for the others, to give it that extra pizazz, so she worked on a miniature version of her fireworks display, hiding in the corner, setting off rainbows all around her.

Dominique walked over to Belle, she was always by herself and not talking. He could fix that. "Hey, Belle. whatcha doing?" he asked curiously.
Raychel sat down into the dirt, leaned back, closed her eyes and tried to regain some of her energy. That act may have been her favorite, but it was definatly her most intricate and exausting. That dragon was not only fire, but her own energy fused withthe flames, thats what made it more life like. And releasing that much energy in a small amout of time was no easy feat. So, she sat there, leaning back on her hands breathing while she listened to the others move around her, practice their powers and even chat amunst themselves.

Anjok looked down at Raychel, a bit concerned. He dropped his sword and sat next to Raychel, placing his hand down next to hers and slipping his fingers over her hand. He knew she was just exhausted from their act, it was like this every time, but that never kept him from worrying about her wellbeing. "You gonna be okay?" he questioned, trying to hide the shaky overtone of his voice. Meanwhile, Bernard was dusting himself off and getting out of the armor; he hated being in it, so restricting. He dropped the costume on the floor and stretched, standing on his toes and reaching for the ceiling. He looked up, and balled his hands into fists, wishing that he could just fly away. For him and his brother, it would be just that easy if it weren't for the d@mned chips they had. When they were both sedated so they could be tattooed, they also had a small chip inserted under their skin on the back of their necks. It prevented them from escaping, and they had already found out on their own what it does. He remembered the searing pain with full clarity, electrocution is never fun. There was a perimeter set up around their cage that could be shut off manually, and there was also a remote that allowed the guards to electrocute them any time they felt like it. He placed his hand on the back of his neck and ran his fingers over the spot he thought the chip was, a small bump confirmed his beliefs.

Belle let the light warp back to normal, and turned to Dom. She shrugged. "Practicing. Might as well, there's nothing better to do, and the guards don't like it when we sit around and chat." She gave the guards a sideways glance, knowing that most guards would be all over them for not practicing or at least not resting up. She guessed these were new guards, or maybe just very lazy guards, because they didn't appear to care.
She shrugged their presence off and sighed, looking back to Dom. "Ready for the show?" she asked a little meekly.

Dominique smiled confidantly, forgetting she couldn't see it. Luckily his voice was also extreamly confident. "I'm always ready. How about you?" Even though Belle rarely talked, Dom couldnt help but develop a crush on the girl, she was beutiful and fiesty. He admirred her for that.
